How to make a snowmobile float?
To get your snowmobile to float on water, you will have to do many alterations to the main body of the motor. The designs of the snowmobiles are not meant to float on water, they are for the snowy grounds. to make it work on water, you will have to follow some steps-
- The weight of the snowmobile will have to be lighter. for that you will have to strip the S and T out;
- Clutch the motors for high RPM and use a 1.25 inch track to accommodate the water crossing;
- Attach smaller gas tanks and light weight seats;
- Cut out and dethatch any extra seating on the snowmobile to cut off the extra weight;
- Use a large diameter PVC pipe for maximum momentum;
- Make sure the pipe is 12″ to 14″ in diameter.
- Curve the pipe around the perimeter and seal it back in place;
- Run an extra pipe at front to accommodate the extra weight.
